OceanLink system is the latest generation of the LightSpeed™ optical communication technology developed by Torrey Pines Logic, Inc. ONR SwampWorks have sponsored the development with the objective to design and build a 2-way non-RF communication system from a submarine to a surface, airborne or underwater platform with as wide an angle of view as possible, while avoiding conspicuous operation and detection by creating a 1-10Mbps optical channel between a submarine underway and below water surface at distances exceeding 10km. Single reinforced fiber fed from the Sail, consisting of Transmit and Receive components. Fiber tips stay 3-5 feet below surface or penetrating surface for variety of communication options.

Vehicular Communication System

An electro-optical communications system is used as an extension to a vehicular intercom system to provide 2-way voice and data communications throughout a convoy. This system benefits counter IED operations under the prevention tenet lane in that the system may be used to maintain networked communications throughout the convoy while operating under radio silent or RF (Radio Frequency) denied (jammed) environments. The optical system operates in the infrared range, compatible with night vision systems, and uses LED (not laser) based emitters in eye-safe wavelengths. Optical signals are relayed between vehicles, the system works on the move or while halted (eliminating the need for field wire intercom connections).

This novel optical communications technology is differentiated from traditional free space optics (FSO) on several fronts:

Throughput optimized for tactical communications

Low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP)

System compatible with other LightSpeed equipment, such as R10, B20, G10, etc.

Anti-Glint/Anti-Glare optimization

Secure communication between vehicles at up to 1 mile with 1-2Mpbs speed

The LightSpeed™ G10 unit is the latest generation of the LightSpeed™ optical communication system, incorporating the technology into a gun scope mounting package. G10 is built to attach to any observation scope / gun scope platform. The eye-safe IR LED (no laser) used by G10 allows non-visible communications between units at distances up to 3+km. Using the supplied headsets, G10 provides full-duplex voice communication. The unit also functions as a network link to a remote computing device or to another system via Ethernet or USB network connection. In situations where
a hardwire connection is unavailable, G10 is the perfect alternative to cables.

The LRAD 300X is a compact, lightweight communications solution for use on small vessels, CROWs and vehicle mounted armor. It can be easily transported to provide security personnel long range communications and a highly effective hailing and warning capability where needed.

The LRAD 300X produces nearly 100% intelligible voice transmission over 88dB of background noise beyond 350 meters and beyond 1500 meters in benign environments. LRAD 300X operators have the ability to issue clear, authoritative verbal commands, followed with powerful deterrent tones to enhance response capabilities. The extended frequency range of LRAD 300X ensures voice commands will be clearly understood.
